... could escape but Tom Tom found us an alternative taking us straight through the middle of a village as they were setting up the square for the market. Tom Tom has a penchant for excitement alright!

Our first stop was in the region of the Marie Poitevin, a low lying swamp that has been heavily canalised to enable access for farmers. Known as the Venice Vert (or green Venice) it is France's answer to Mandurah! The next day we headed for our ...

... above the drawbridge, and descended to the gift shop just in time. Jonathan bought more books, I bought a macaron! Such are our tastes!

It was straight home to Dinan then, well almost. We needed bread for dinner and deviated from the GPS lady's route to get it in the old town, and then she tried to send us driving down the Rue de Petit Fort to get home. Jonathan was having none of this - through a narrow arch ...

We made it in just the nick of time to arrive in Dover to catch the ferry across to France. We cut it so fine that our car was last to get on and Luke, Kate and the kids had to wait for the next boat, thankfully it was only an hour later. We arrived in France and stressfully familiarised ourselves with new road rules as we searched for a petrol station, we still are not sure exactly who ...
