... for a slice of spanakopita, and we managed to find a shoe repair shop. The owner recommended Bougris, the local taverna just across the cobblestone lane. A family affair, the restaurant was splendid and traditional.....meal balls and tomato sauce and stuffed eggplant and tomato. The side blind of the car had 'demagnetized' during the night, so the early morning sun flooded in and we awoke early, starting the day with a few rounds of sun salutations and standing ...

It's a really moving portrayal, and touches on the options of ending ones own life...which is tricky and controversial in the Altzeimers situation. I was a bit teary on the plane! But we arrived in Athens to a beautiful sunny day and 28degrees temperature, caught the Metro to Monastiraki Station, and wandered through the narrow ...

Eleana, my younger sister, has been my first companion in traveling, when, as young children, we followed our parents in our first travels, mostly to Greek islands and Cyprus' hidden beaches. Life took us apart following our childhood, as she lives permanently in London and I in Athens. What better way to reunite through traveling, or better said meeting in various European cities half the way. In that way, we met with Barcelona, Zurich and Copenhagen. Joint ...

... off the trucks! We drove through the mountain region, very rugged in some parts, it's also a skiing area. Mind you getting photos out of a tour bus window is a bit hit and miss. We stopped briefly at the memorial for the 300 Spartans (yep think the 300 movie) and the skies got grey and I got some photos. As we arrived at the hotel rain and lightening! Should make for an interesting tour tomorrow - hope I can at least see them, if not I will buy a ...
