      We checked out of our hotel in Nafolio at 9 - just in time to miss the hordes of people from the cruise ship that docked overnight - taxi drivers even slept in their cars to be first in line for the fares. We headed north and west and drove a couple of hours to Sparta/i and Mystras.       ... is no doubting when you hit Athens city limits. It turns swiftly from olive groves to apartment blocks, with vineyards exchanged for kantina’s.
