Travel Blogs from Lima
As we all settle down for dinner, everyone's spirits are high. Although the showers are jenky to say the least everyone is clean and happy. Dinner is chicken with fries tonight (Not what we were expecting..). double beds all round and a great nights sleep ahead!
All is safe and sound.
The LAN Peru flight from Miami to Lima was non eventful. It was nice though to be served hot dinner with real silverware.
... with cheese and a slice of jalapeño; we both instantly looked to see the disappointment on each other's faces. We found out that in Peru they show all the new Hollywood movies in english so we finished off our taste of home day by going to see Gravity at the local theatre. Sitting in the theatre did make us feel like we were back home in Canada for a couple hours but the fact that the movie cost $4.00 ($2.50 on cheap days) and a large popcorn was $1.50 made it feel more ...
... Built into the cliffs overlooking the ocean, this is a spectacularly located bunch of shops and restaurants. They have a La Lucha outlet ( our favourite sandwiches) where we stop for lunch. Across the road is the JW Marriott hotel, one of the best in Lima. We pop in to book a table for their renowned "all you can eat" Sunday buffet that weekend.

We were instantly offered to try many different types of alcohol in the super market, the lady with the rum was basically giving us a large glass of pure rum with a splash of coke, it certainly woke us up a bit. We all started to head out to Ceasers parents house for the BBQ and I realised I had left some stuff in the room so legged it up and the sped back down again with Keiran to realise when we got down that we had been left behind.
