... and we wanted to do so before Giva had a full blown panic attack, given it was only 40 minutes to take off and , to our amazement the departure gate had in fact changed since we had had our boarding passes issued at the desk 60 minutes previously. We drove by the indoor ski park, where I did not get to see the resident penquins! LOL.
The architecture in the city is amazing. See pictures. We saw the tallest tower in the world - the burj(sp?) translated as tower of arabs. We dipped our feet in the persian gulf (the arabs call it the Arabian gulf) where the water was warm and the sand was very fine - almost silty.

At the conclusion of the evening, we were able to obtain our camel riding picture. Then the drive back to Dubai where we bid farewell to Sharjarahan, wishing him all the best.

It was a tiring but enjoyable day and, even though a little touristy in parts, a reminder of what life would have been like out in the desert.
