We stayed here for 5 nights and overall are very impressed with both the Hotel and the location. Looking out of our window we can see Madison Square Garden just over the Road. Penn Street Station is also in the same Location. Staff are friendly and more than helpful. Although free wifi was available, it was only available in the lobby, we purchased a package for our room for $62 for 7days. There is a Gym and Laundromat on the 4th floor. Situated on the corner ot 7th Avenue and 31st Street it is close to Times Square and the Broadway District.

We left New Orleans on Tuesday 6 Sepember and arrived at JFK Airport mid-afternoon. We were collected by our shuttle transport service to transfer us to our hotel. I wouldn't recommend this to other travellers as we had to collect other passengers from other terminals and once we got into Manhattan we were the last passengers to be dropped off so …

Sad farewell to Sue - she actually was out of bed when we left at 7am.( apologies Suzie - you are not an early morning person!!)
Andrew drove us to the airport - arrived around 8am for a 10.30 flight - and we needed all that time to get through security and customs. All went smoothly - and headed to NYC in a very little plane.

          Much much more in nyc

... with their friends Tilly & Jasper in Rye and having the full suburban American Dream. Jax went to baseball practice with Jasper. And dude Macca was met by an entourage of American girls who due to the wonders of social media had been anticipating his visit for months. He performed his rap repertoire for them and they were duly impressed. As the New Yorkers would say - the boy certainly has chutzpah. See pics for a laugh.

Definitely had more nights similar to the above one described when I was an intern in the city. Reminder on how I need to have more fun with my time here (as I sit here paying off my pink, plastic credit card -- the waitress has made $800 a night).
