    Lima is a mix of wealth and poverty. Plaza Mayor is the central square and is surrounded by beautiful buildings, including the Presidential Palace and the Cathedral. A sign of your status was the elaborate wooden balcony, usually at the front of your premises.     A little further up the road from Edo's was the Cacao museum. We piled in their for a quick 3 minute brief of the making of their chocolate in order to get some free samples. Not only did we try dark, milk and white chocolate but we were also offered a Pisco based chocolate liqueur. After all the tasting, we went into their cafe for a big mug of very tasty hot chocolate.

    Today we went on a bus and walking city tour of Lima. We drove past Huaca Pullcana, a clay brick solid pyramid built nearly 2000 years ago. The flat top was a religious area where sacrifices, usually females, took place. We drove past several prominent buildings of varying cultural styles.
