... I think most of them are tone deaf cause they generally don't sound too good. We stayed there for a bit until a really old man (80 or so) told my friend she was beautiful, that was the queue to leave. We found a more clubish bar that had just opened and had a fire show. We enjoyed the rest of the night playing pool, jenga, and learning how to do a fire show with the owners of the bar.

... As the sweat pours off me, I wonder if I should not just give up and turn round.

But then I see it; a third temple, high on the hillside. I’m not sure if this is the spot the guidebook meant, but it will do. I race up the deserted staircase, only to almost fall into a hole. Last weekend I went on an adventure with my friend Jen and we ended up at Wat Khao Lad, also referred to as Monkey Temple or Monkey Mountain, a little less than 2.5 miles outside of Hua Hin!
