Still feeling a bit delicate then, we were up early on Saturday to be ready for our pickup at 8:15 by the Fiji Experience bus. We got back to Nadi last night from the Fiji Experience. We had a brilliant time, we traveled to Suva from Mango Bay resort near Natadola beach, on the first day we did a treck through the rain forest, walking about 5km through a stream in the forest valley and getting wet. At the end of the walk we rafted down a river on rubber tubes and then went to a waterfall and did some swimming and diving in of the cliff into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Hello, Well Fiji really is fabulous! We have had a great week at the Mango Bay Resort, which is a cross between a hostel and a hotel. We have had a couple of lazy days on the beach, which is right next to the pool, which is right next to the bar, touching up our tans and luckily, the weather held for all but one day of torrential downpour. Fiji is the most amazing place. I intended to go and sit on a beach for a week and ended up getting so much more than that out of it. The weather was not what I'd hoped for, but i totally chilled out - even took my watch off and moved to "Fiji time" (everything happens a couple of hours after they say it will!!) The pace was then to step up a few notches as I returned to the main island of Viti Levu staying in Smugglers Cove for a night, before joining the Feejee Experience (guided tour bus) for the next 4 days.
