Kuala Lumpur - die große Überraschung
... zurück zum Flughafen brachte.
KL ist trotz der kurzen Distanz doch sehr unterschiedlich zu Singapur. Die Kulturen vermischen sich hier stärker. Die Malayen sind sehr freundliche Menschen und sind auch in Bezug auf ihre Religion (Islam) sehr aufgeschlossen uns gegenüber. Wir fühlten uns zu keinem Zeitpuntk unsicher. Wir hatten vorher kein Bild von KL und waren überaus positiv überrascht.
Ein Land, dass auch trotz unserer kurzen Zeit hier die Reise auf jeden Fall wert ...

With the navigation more reliable this time we returned to KL Sentral (spelt with an 's') and, after completing a survey for a tourism graduate, we jumped on the packed monorail to Bukit Bintang. After a quick walk around a local maze (made to look like a shopping centre) we strolled down a street packed with massage parlours and made a choice. Next stop the golden triangle, the shopping mecca of KL- where we went on a look not buy spree. A wee walk back to chinatown for some food and beers saw us right.
Not wanting to stay in Chinatown long though we headed back to the hostel to chill out.

Kuala Lumpur reloaded!
... habe. Nachdem ich gegen 15 Uhr im Hostel ankam, habe ich mich auf eine kleine Stadtwanderung gegeben, die mich hauptsächlich durch Little India bis zum Kampung Baru gebracht hat. Kampung Baru ist das älteste Viertel KLs, in dem ich somit leckeres malayisches Essen gesucht habe. Hatte im Endeffekt nicht so viel Glück, da ich mich wohl für das falsche entschieden habe, aber immerhin bin ich etwas satt geworden.
Daraufhin bin ich Richtung Golden Triangle gelaufen, das bekannt ...
