... to watch the sunset. The place was a hive of activity and had a great ambiance about it but still very relaxed and not at all stuffy. That's one thing about here nobody dresses up and everyone just blends in (with flip flops on!). The food was great Lucia, Des and I had tuna, whilst Bec had ribs and the girls had chicken, everyone was saving themselves for s'mores around the fire back at the site with our friends next ...

... up the coast, but by this time it was starting to get late and Malibu beach was looking awfully tempting. So when a sign for a RV park popped up we decided to hit it up. Despite buying a 'Mountain view' site, we are perched right at the top of the park and have a wonderful view of the ocean. We saw out the day by sitting on the beach watching the sun set and the tide slowly creep up on us.

... a couple of months though, and that they had just moved on to a place near Disneyland. Also – Johnny gets helicoptered in. Bit posh. After realising we weren't going to meet anyone other than a really friendly security guy we headed for Venice beach.

You've seen it on TV – body builders working out on the sand, tanned girls in tiny bikinis, hippies, all kinds of weird stuff. Well it was all that and more. It was like being in a different world. ...
