The staff are very friendly at the Mandalay Inn and are very helpful too. Our room was nice and a welcome place to get to after hot days out! We only stayed 2 nights and didn't get to eat in the restaurant but i'm sure it would have been good. Would definitely recommend to other travellers.

The hotel is close to the town center (Pub Street) without being to near that the noise keeps you up all night. It is clean and tidy and the staff are all very friendly. For $9 you get towels,a gym, hot water, bathroom attached and TV I would say good value for your money.

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at Mandalay Inn. The rooms were small but very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful arranging tuk-tuk's, tours, buses etc. Definitely would stay here again.

Wat's up,doc?
It is a heinous act to attempt to see the temples at Angkor Wat in one day, our guide book told us. The temples were built between the 9th and 12th Century by the rulers of the Khmer empire. The guidebook recommended seeing the temples in chronological order, starting on day one with the oldest temples, located approximately 13km east of Siem Reap …
Yes, Cambodia now
This morning early we left Bangkok and arrived here at about 9am. I have not been able to fill you in about the last few days because of various reasons. No working computer, tired, and written 2 pages long of info and then the next minute GONE.... So, I am giving it another try.
2 days ago we went to this enormous market that only …
Temples, temples and more temples
Yesterday, we arrived in Siem Reap after a 6-hour bus ride in which we had to endure Cambodian karaoke. We were grateful it wasn't too loud but boy! is it ever kitschy! It's so bad it's not even funny. It's a bit like the variety shows of the '70s (think Lawrence Welk), with singers in the foreground and dancing couples in the background... only …
A giant dollar store
Before we left for our trip, we packed up on medication because, like it or not, during such a long voyage, one of us or both of us will likely get sick from something or another. I was suffering from digestive disturbance for a few days in VN, now it's Pierre's turn. Poor man... in Angkor of all places, where there are 1,000 things to see. The …
Review of Cambodia (PP and SR)
A couple of nights ago, we got into our room and kept hearing this cooing sound and Pierre thought a bird was in the room. The cleaning ladies had left the window slightly ajar so after he checked the room and found nothing, Pierre closed the window. But the cooing kept going and we finally found a little lizard on the windowsill. Not the big, …
