We got an offer!!!

We finally got an offer in on the house!! We had two showings this weekend and one of them put in an offer! We counteroffered today. Now we'll see if they accept! And if so, we'll be on our way to selling the house! And this person already has sold their house and is planning to close on Tuesday. So we don't even have a contingent offer on him selling his house. Man oh man oh man I hope that this works!

Home again

Just a quick note...

Jacqui and I made it back home from our awesome 16 day cruise. I'm gonna work on posting up all of the days' entries and pictures.

We still haven't sold our house yet... But on a good note, the house wasn't buried in snow when we got home either! I'm heading out to Brazil on Saturday, so we've got a lot to finish up before then.

what we saw. We also stopped at a beautiful church and saw Robert Frost’s grave in the graveyard near the church. There were many revolutionary soldiers buried there. After shopping at the gift shop we loaded the bus and headed to the ...

... on the agenda was the Old North Church, a stop that I loved the first time and just as much this time. It’s an amazing building, with an amazing history. A history exemplified in the Longfellow poem . . .

Of the North Church tower as a signal light,

And I on the opposite shore will be, . . .

... and this is a 16 day cruise...Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Cartagena, Gibraltar, Seville, Madeira Island, Ft. Lauderdale...for $800pp! Which includes meals and soft drinks. Now my flights will be covered by work because its cheaper to fly from Moscow-Rome, Ft.Lauderdale-Albany, than it is to fly direct from Moscow-Albany. Jacqui can fly from ALB-FCO ...

Long traveling, burnouts and fireworks

... Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals. I parked at the edge of Lake George and right as you were heading into town on Rt. 9, there were a bunch of people set up with water bottles getting the road wet for burnouts. Enjoy all the videos!

Day 10 - Lake George to Easton (45 miles)

The first part of the ride from the village of Lake George to Glens Falls is mostly on a bike trail. It was nice to have a shorter, much flatter ride the next day down to Easton Mountain, where I attended a retreat over Labor Day weekend.

... to leave our house at 8am to drive to Brooklyn, but they were a little late on leaving (we didn't get back to my house until a little after 3am).

We had a great time and look forward to hosting again.

Right now I'm in the airport in Albany to start my trip to Brazil. The plane is delayed so who knows when I'll get to JFK... Talk to ya'll again from the other half of the world!

DAY 4 -- Goony Golf, Natural Stone Bridge and more

... it was lit profusely with colorful lights making it seem like a pirate's cave in a movie. In spite of this touristy tomfoolery it is pretty neat anyways. After braving an unending stream of gaggling grade-schoolers, we got to the lower end of the trail, where you can walk down onto the big river rocks and poke at the pools in them. Here we met a very nice frog and spotted a few fish cruising about. There is a wishing pond on one of the rocks and funny cave-like ...
