        Perfect airport overnighter

My wife and I stayed here overnight after a flight from Rome before catching our flight home to Australia the next morning. Only staying the one night means we didn't have much time to check it out, but as an airport hotel it's perfect.
We rang from the courtesy phone in the terminal and were picked up in no time. Our bags had not come through on our flight, and the shuttle brought us back at 10.30pm to get them after a later one. They then took us back after 11.00pm. Great service.
When we checked in, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Despite being at the airport, noise what not an issue at all.
Dinner in the restaurant was very nice and once again the staff were friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was awesome. Because we had an early flight I thought we'd miss breakfast - but they serve cooked breakfast from 4.30am. Fantastic.
Our room was simple, but functional and very clean. Perfect for an overnight stopover.
The price we paid online was very reasonable, and overall was excellent value for money.

Courtesy bus from railway station- good service. Didn't stay long but lovely room- new or upgraded? Left at 5.30 am with shuttle over to Terminal 2. Clean, comfortable and didn't hear a thing. Bar snack good and great service- would recommend.

This is so much better than the Crowne Plaza. It's much friendlier and nicer decor. The bed was comfortable, room was quiet even though it was near a train line - with the window closed there was no noise. The bathroom was clean - always a positive thing! The only downside is that I ordered a curry from the room service menu and it was under the "spicy" section of the menu. It was the most bland chicken I've ever tasted. There was no flavour and no salt or pepper on the tray or in the room. Apart from that, I certainly would reccommend this airport hotel over any of the others at Manchester.

The fog cleared a little bit as we headed to Lime Street station to start the trip home via Manchester and Sheffield so it did allow us to see the mythical 'Liver Birds' atop the Liver Building overlooking the River Mersey. A return visit to the city will be had at some point as there is plenty more to see and do and maybe have a side trip to Southport ...

Then....the studio tour. We were ment by David Nugent, and he had some bad news for us. No filming due to evening rehearsals for the upcoming live episode, so no actors :(. But, that did mean we had more access to the sets, ...
