My parents' shops close at 9 pm and that is typical here. So, they won't get home and eat dinner until about 10 pm at night. Jeremy and I can't wait that long so we usually eat by ourselves.

Tonight, my brother is coming home from Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia). We'll pick him up at the Manado airport tonight which means that we will miss the Christmas Eve ...

After all, I am far out of my comfort zone presenting such a broad topic to students of international law - I am only doing this out of loyalty to Pak Denny, and because I want to honor his wishes and all that he has done to make my time in Manado a great one. I would not volunteer for this without Pak Denny's ...

Benny Hinn and Visa Issues

... to pay for an additional day of class on my way out of Indonesia as justification to extend my visa, as did Pak Ferry and Ibu Selfi. Because Ibu Siska is in charge of the administration and record keeping at UPT Bahasa, however, Ibu Jein suggested that it would be better if I introduced this idea to Ibu Siska first. She is a very by-the-book person, so asking for exception from the Kantor Imigrasi (Immigration Office) in Manado is far out of her comfort zone. Ibu Jein ...
