... kaffee" in a covered terrace with a spectacular view so high up above the city. I realize why I kept getting lost before. It would have been easy to get lost this time too, if I didn't tune into the fact that one section of access had been closed off due to stage construction readying for the Salzburg Festival which is set to begin this coming week. The restaurant for dinner was almost at the very top of the fortress, and the view was stunning. I had a beautiful view to ...

Not only was there incredible variety - but the sheer size of the market (blocks it seemed) was daunting. Also, the colours were so enjoyable. The only item on our itinerary that we did not get to was Mirabell Gardens as it was just too rainy to go. I think my family feels we have seen enough gardens anyway. No matter the vowel or the octave, Kaufmann's diction and clarity stayed perfect. He went all out for us, singing his arias and duets with the pinnacle of emotion. Not a single high note sounded strained. The moment he walked onstage, we all gaped at him, and I couldn't look away.
