... Yosemite Park through the Tioga Pass eastern entrance. We had a very pretty 90min drive to the village area and booked a tour for tomorrow, had a look around and a drink at The Ahwahnee. It was another poor winter for snowfall and even the perennial Bridalveil Falls had almost no flow.

... tops you could get out of it! The first stop, Gaylor Peak, was to offer us a view over the valley from just one short hour walk. We exited the car and immediately got bitten about 10 times by mosquitoes. Hmmmm. And we had left the insect repellent at the hotel.. We decided we really didn't need to see this part, got back in the car, and hoped to God that the rest of the park was not over taken with mosquitoes like this ...

... our path we met a deer. The deer was hiding behind some bushes, checking out if it was safe to come out. It eventually did, until Jase made a sound and it ran off. The limestone coming out of the lakes were quite interesting. Upon visiting the lake, I had a quick look at some history and found the limestone or Tufas as they are called, only surfaced after LA diverted water from the lake for their watering needs.

... things like shampoo, makeup etc in the locker but she did so reluctantly. By the way, when we say tent, it was more like a little canvas house!
