Bootie Camp was never so fun!!

Elaine took Cheryl and me on a car tour of Twin Lake Falls, Mamie Lake, Horseshoe Lake ( damaged trees all around due to CO2 in the soil), Lake George and views of Crystal Crag. It's amazing to think the Paiute Indians had this beautiful area to themselves for thousands of years. Our finale dinner was at the Gibbings/Landis condo and a great time was had by all!!

PCT days 69-77: Sierra City to Tuolumne Meadows
... can-eat rib dinner last night, you can't beat the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for $4.25. Bill and Margaret, owner of the Red Moose Inn, opened their house to us and we can't thank them enough. They even give us a ride back to the trailhead and we are on the move by 11am. We manage to walk 23 miles that day in scorching heat. The first part of our mission is to cover 104 miles in 72 hours ...
