    ... They are the remains of a 300 million year old tropical forest.

    We passed through Port au Port where there is a long strip of land that connects the town to the island. Along this coast the grass is the greenest and the wildflowers are abundant. It is sheltered from the northern winds and is just beautiful. The escarpments are high and look fairly rugged.

    ... anyway back in the day people could stop by and they would be given dough to cook in these ovens, they were randomly placed around the peninsula. Anyways there was this young bloke about 20 sitting on the table beside this oven, supervising the cooking of a loaf. It was his job every Friday and Saturday to sit there and light the fire in the oven and cook the bread, what a **** job !! Boring......

    ... I hope they don’t snore as they aren’t far away. It keeps on raining but it is only gentle rain.

    There is a couple from Elderslie, near Camden in the park. They have a big bus and are towing a car. They own the bus and keep it garaged outside L.A. and come over here and just travel around.     ... for the coming camping trip. This Iceberg beer is supposedly brewed with 25,000 year old ice berg water.

    I had a New Brunswick beer in Edmundston while were at the Sheraton but I was not impressed and have forgotten its name. I plan on saving a bottle of each kind to bring home while Monica wants to put a case or two of Newfoundland beer in the trunk to bring home. She hasn't even sampled the screech yet. That should be fun.

    Saw so many small communities and mountains and towns it was wonderful! We drove through the Anguille mountains and the long-range mountains, it was amazing. The day was gorgeous with highs of 24 degrees. We took a number of side roads to travel along the coast line. We took the long way to Corner Brook through The Port aux Port peninsula with many French communities and beautiful sceneries. Great ...
