Another day in paradise nearly over. We are both sitting outside our tent in the campground on our computers. It never ceases to amaze me that we can sit at our tent and go on the internet.

We didn't have anything planed today so we decided to hit the French Ancestor’s Trail from Stephenville to Cape St George and it is about an hour from Corner Brook heading south. The French and the Basques settled here and fished until the early ...

The whole town faces down towards the water and smack bang in ...

We embarked on our journey south along the Viking Trail Highway mid-morning. It was a bright blue day, quite the opposite of the gray rainy day we had yesterday. After our delicious breakfast and goodbyes to Sophie and Dave at The Tickle Inn, we scooted out to Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve, which is across the bay from Raleigh. (Dave recommended we not go out here, as the road is a bit tenuous, and there are no longer any interpreters due to funding cutbacks). he ...

... the town and it's environs as we drove around and then pointed out all the sights from the lookout. We then called into the Civic Hall to admire their " green roof" planted with thousands of plants and giving views over the town. The Library is attached to the civic hall and had excellent free wifi and some computer terminals too. After catching up with email we walked along West Stand ...
