Having passed through Nadi in transit to New Caledonia I was not holding out much hope that much was going to have changed. I'd really not liked it at all, horror stories of thefts (in and out of hotel rooms), seedy feel and leery men.

... t many people on the island which was weird so we went to our room for an early night as hopefully I'll get to see England play tomorrow in the World Cup! Unfortunately our ceiling fan broke so we had to change rooms! I woke up early to see England play and I wish I didn't!
