Having passed through Nadi in transit to New Caledonia I was not holding out much hope that much was going to have changed. I'd really not liked it at all, horror stories of thefts (in and out of hotel rooms), seedy feel and leery men.

... Seashell @ Momi, a resort where Sophie is doing her Padi open water scuba diving course and funnily enough the location where they filmed the diving video I watched on the plane over. Sure enough Scuba Sam is still working there. It took about 40 mins to arrive and cost 55 Fijian dollars!!! I'm super tired after working a 13 hour shift yesterday and getting up to pack so it's an early night for me ...

... probably dodged a bullet there, and we've still not heard anything from them asking where we were! Once we had the car we headed south to then head east on Queen's drive, the only road around the south of the island which becomes King's road when you are in the northern half of the country. We drove for nearly three hours having our vision frazzled by Fijians who obviously thought full beam beats headlights no matter who's on the other side of the road. We also survived ...
