... show DVDs for most of the trip, making it difficult to read or take a nap.Real slapstick pantomime stuff with men dressed outrageously as women, a lot of falling over, hitting people and shouting. The audience on the DVD seemed to be made up of Thai schoolchildren in their uniforms, falling about with laughter.Just a bit hard to take for 3 hours!

... station, then caught a songthaew to hotel. Checked in and went for an explore, found a little local restaurant for lunch, wandered around a bit, back to hotel to rest for a couple of hours.

Went out later and walked to Clock Tower and watched the light show, then wandered around night markets, had dinner at night markets (fried prawns, calamari, vegetables etc). Bought some happy pants, fresh lemon juice, then back to hotel.

... the same artist, and everything was immaculate. All of the white painted surfaces were adorned with mirrored tiles that shone in the sun. It looked like it was sculpted out of snow and ice. The actual things that were depicted in the art were not exactly as pretty as some of the architecture, and most of it was downright creepy.
