      ... streets with no speed
limit or helmets or even protective gear! I saw men riding around with their
young children of 2 years old just strapped to their waste while the child held
onto the mirrors. One guy zoomed past holding a vacuum cleaner in one hand and
holding the handlebar in the other. Another with a plank of wood that could easily
have knocked anyone off with how close and fast they all travel along. For

Yoosef is of a slight build and unsmiling throughout the whole encounter. First up I have to explain my facial bruises, trying not to make it sound like the MOE is somehow at fault for not meeting me. The other occupants seem to be locals. The men are in Bermuda shorts and T-shirts ...

... seem bothered. After a quick feel of my face to check for new indentations, I detect that the kiosk entrance is around to the side. There are just two computers as it is really a mobile phone shop. The assistant is wearing a very, smart, red and white uniform although I note that his hair is a bit more freestyle. He is very amiable and obliging yet makes no reference to the very recent potential window smash and grab. But that ...

... still. Day 3 Just a quiet day walking round the island. Saw big fish being unloaded and dragged to market where they were bought, washed and gutted. . . Needless to say Rhianwyn didn't hang round there long! But later we ate Maldivian tuna noodles :) Day 4 Another day another beach this time a natural one called Villingili where motorised vehicles weren't allowed. We chilled out in some hammocks, swam and enjoyed the beautiful warm sea. Day 5 ...
