I woke up early to a beautiful day. There was fog in the valley, shrouding Boonville and vaguely resembling a lake in the distance. Refreshed with a coffee we wandered into the vines to set about removing the nets. These had been placed over the grapes as they ripened to protect them from the birds. As per usual it takes Marty and I two hours to get out of the house. We pack as if we are on safari for at least month. We are people who LOVE their creature comforts.
