... an ambulance with all lights flashing at the base station so not everyone gets down unscathed. Interestingly the park is open 24X7 and has lots of night time visitors despite the rocky road. At this time of year it makes sense as the temperature is a bit cooler at night and the viewing is focused on the fires.

... gotten wine, I said I was ready to head back down. I wasn't sweaty. I tried to really *feel* the epic history of the flames, as I try to do when in ancient places. You guys, I don't really feel it. I respect the idea of it though, so that's good, right? On the way down the hill, the owner talked about how he'd been to Maachu Picchu and got so sick he had to stay in Cusco for three days. Oh man. On the bus to Antalya, the woman next to be was viscous with sick. Her fluids seeped into me and I partook in a Turkish flu. Feverish, headache, coughing. ... dark for 40 minutes we arrived at the site,were given torches and told to walk up the mountain for 20 minutes. Like doing the thousand steps without the well formed steps and in the dark. When we arrived the flames, although an interesting phenomenon were a bit like sitting around campfires. Still, glad we saw it.

Received more sad news. Our beautiful pet pooch, Ziggy has passed away. The house won't be the same without her. ��
