    We then drove to Perge, an ancient Greek city founded in approximately 1000 BC. It came to fame during the Roman rule and was one of the leading centers of Christianity. The Apostle Paul mentions it several times in his writings. The ruins show what must have been a fabulous city, complete with hot and cold baths, a sewer system, and a series of sales stalls.

    ... the Mediterranean. We know it will be a lot of fun to explore the area tomorrow. For tonight, we dropped off our luggage (we love our hotel) and walked down to a recommended sea food restaurant. The coastline is spectacular - very rocky with large cliffs dropping down to the ocean. We didn't get many pictures tonight because it was just turning dark.     ... bad for the kids and drove us close to the place. From there we had to walk one kilometer up climbing stairs (I was glad that I did my stairs training before this trip).     ... dinner I've had so far. There was Turkish rice, Turkish beans (sort of baked beans) mince and eggplant, yoghurt spinach sauce, soup, bread and watermelon – yum, so full.
