... I got 3 for 10 TL, including a sturdy mailing tube. The museum was fantastic. There had been a sculpting school, and the sculptures were excellent. Susan, with her distaste for ruins, was impressed and loved the museum too.

I love the country restaurants we eat in. Lunch started with thick creamy yogurt and fresh pita bread fresh out of the oven, hot and crusty. Then spiced yogurt and eggplant, then pizza bites. That would have been enough, but ...

... styles of course but both featured quite a lot of water. I lost two balls and I never lose a ball.... nice course.

We missed breakfast so by the time we finished at 12.30 we were pretty hungry. Out of Belek we headed east and stopped at the first restaurant for lunch. Annie had chicken kebab, me lamb meatballs, had a mixed salad, water and coffee all for 10E, and it was really good.... you can live ...

... book indicated it was a 20-30 minute climb up a stepped path to the site. It should have said "steep rocky stepped path"! Anyway we made it! The flames are caused by gas seeping out of rocks and combusting when they hit the air. They burn out. Really neat to see. The guide book says if you cover the flame it will extinguish only to start in another hole. The best time to see it is at night ...

Termessos

Being Sunday the roads were quiet and we set off for a drive into the mountains to see the Roman city of Termessos.

The city dates from around 400BC and is set in a very odd location high on the top of a mountain pass. The road up to the start of the city is steep and clearly had the odd Roman site on route with walls etc. visible.

We pulled into a large flat car park with clearly lots of ruins ...

... exploring some ruins (yes it hurt, yes there was blood, yes there is now a hilarious scab on the peak of my head). Fortunately, with a little first aid, I made a quick recovery and headed to the beach.
