After spotting the lovely sun deck down the cliff, we went down to discover there was no actual beach! We went for a dip anyway and it was a beautiful warm sea. It just ...

... minutes' walk upstream from us, as the river had engulfed the lower section of the road with rainwater from the previous day still running off the hills. Our journey had accidentally coincided with Gilbert's, and we continued on to Antalya together. Other travellers moved on also – by bus or by foot along the Lycian Way – and the camaraderie that had connected us for the previous couple of nights dissipated as we went our separate ways to forge new connections elsewhere.
