After acclimatising for four days, a coach was to pick up the sixty five guests from one of two hotels and take them to where the ceremony was to take place. And everything went off without a hitch.

North of Olympia we find Clermont (Chelmoutsi) Castle, built in 1223 by a French Prince Geoffrey, after the Crusades when he claimed the region for himself. went to Archaeological site. Saw temple of Hera. Zeus. Athlete training grounds and athlete hangout. Visited stadium where first Olympic Games took place. Stood on marble start line and took off to race. Soaked up the spirit of the Olympic champions.

Dis is some shopping in Olympia and had lunch. Spanokapita ouzo. Gyros and Greek pizza

... The swim was preceded by a short walk along the beach, a foray into some of the boutique shops and a glass of cold lemonade at a beachside café. Philip and I were enjoying cooling down under the shade, and idly chatting with a Welsh couple doing the same thing, when an old Holden came burning up and out jumped a couple of young Greeks.
