... have been breathtaking). Mike did a wonderful job staying focused with such dazzling landscape all around; I felt like I drove it right along with him. We were glad when we got to our hotel (Luckily we had nothing but Iced Tea for lunch....yes we do that now & then!

... then headed down the coast to Pfieffer Big Sur. It was a beautiful day for the drive and we stopped at several of the pullouts for a view and pictures. Got to
Pfieffer Big Sur Park and they said they had room and go and pick out a campsite. We found the site we had camped in last year #104 and it was available. Got ourselves set up and took a short break and then fixed dinner.

... start at 12:30. We might have been able to finish but it would have been close and anyways Bob wanted to watch the Grey Cup game. Before we played, Bob agreed to give me two strokes a hole and on that basis I actually beat him! I had a lot of lucky bounces but also played a good game.

... we took the 17 (Californians always put "the" in front of the highway number, I don't know why, Maryland actually has the first interstate highway, The National Pike, but hey this is California). Thursday, Oct 3 -

We started Part II of our 4th Cross Country trip in the RV with Skip taking us to the airport this morning. We flew into Monterey where Josh and Lilly picked us up. We were greeted with a running hug and shouts of "Gramma, Papa!" from Lilly - nothing better!
