... little white shells for miles and miles. They go down to a depth of 13metres. Visually very impressive and truly unique. Further along the drive we pulled into Whale bone Drive which was a little dirt road taking you to a cul-de-sac on the beach. It was there we noticed a large rubbery figure beached, with seaweed strewn across what looked like its back. It turned out that this dead creature was a Dugong. It is a very rare animal so to get a chance to see the carcass of one and inspect ...

... have been breathtaking). Mike did a wonderful job staying focused with such dazzling landscape all around; I felt like I drove it right along with him. We were glad when we got to our hotel (Luckily we had nothing but Iced Tea for lunch....yes we do that now & then!

... up with a sore throat and a bit of a temperature. I blame the flipping Arctic Pacific temperatures myself. I administered some ibuprofen and she felt better as the day wore on; Luckily she dozed for some of the scarier moments of Highway 1.

My fear of heights is a bit weird - it abates when I'm over water for some reason (I DON'T KNOW - ask my parents, I'm mostly their fault!). ...

Gorgeous crimson bougainvillea clung to the buildings between each shop. I could hear a few birds chattering away and when I looked closely, I could see a fledging bird sitting up in one of the branches. Mum came back and fed him while he squarked and Doug managed to snap a photo of two. What a lovely place to bring new life into the world.

... start at 12:30. We might have been able to finish but it would have been close and anyways Bob wanted to watch the Grey Cup game. Before we played, Bob agreed to give me two strokes a hole and on that basis I actually beat him! I had a lot of lucky bounces but also played a good game.
