    ... game between Brazil and Germany.
    After dinner we found Ryan some frozen yogurt...which is actual yogurt here...and explored some more of the city. We let ourselves get lost in the narrow streets and stopped to get a few provisions and then headed back to the hotel where we is so nice to sleep without the anxiety of an alarm clock or the stress of the day and what needs to happen tomorrow...

    Today was another busy day. We went on a walking tour to the beautiful walled city of Avila which is about 100 kms south west from Madrid. Avila is the birthplace of St Theresa and on the walk we went to the Avila Cathedral, the Basicilica de San Vincente and the Convent of St Theresa - who was the nun who started the Carmelite order ( which we thought Mary D would be interested to hear ...

    Trained in to Madrid again for a final look and shop at the markets. Although we've had a couple of casual paella meals, we went to a local restaurant (La Gitana) for their seafood paella speciality. Very good too. The sun was shining and we ate outside. Admin on the 25th. House and car cleaning, travel arrangements and confirmations. Nice lunch at Santinno, while waiting for the car ...
