... area is just carved our of the natural rock hillside and the passages and walls are filled with dirt. Continuing on we come to a Fortress that overlooks the harbour and the old city area. ... As we cross the river and head up the side we come to the exercise section. 650 steps up the side of the cliff to the lookout over the falls. If you say it quick it doesn't seem like many, but when the temperature is heading to 30 degrees there doesnt seem to be an end to the steps. Finally Zadar was in sight– who needs a TomTom! Before we knew it, we had found our lovely yellow apartment and our host, Kruno, was waiting for us.

... a dive, dirty Spaniards were to blame.
The town away from the front was actually quite nice and to Nath's disappointment, every street had a barbers on! After much contemplation and 'weighing up of costs' he took the plunge and stepped inside a barbers, much to the amusement of the staff. They charged even less for a proper cut than the butcher in Pula! In the end we all decided to get our hair 'fixed'.
