Essaouira, Morocco globalgirl... exception to the other driver talking to John and suddenly the two drivers start throwing punches at each other – serious fighting and then a few of the other drivers standing around see this as an opportunity to join in, so before we know it we’re in the middle of a taxi driver fight!! It eventually gets split up and we jump in a taxi and go to the main square. The riad we are staying in this time is within the souks themselves, its around 11pm by the time we ...
Essaouira, Morocco travelmonster... 8211; they are celebrating a wedding. So we have yet more delicious food, accompanied with the now familiar Moroccan bread, which I adore. After the meal, once the family have gone, we go upstairs onto the terrace with Yassir and his friends and yes, you’ve guessed it – more mint tea!!!!!

... The road to Essaouira is partly along the coast where some huge waves attract surfers, but at 17 degrees water temperature at this time of the year, it appears somewhat pale compared to Hawaii. So I guess they come here if Daddy's cheque didn't arrive in time for the flight to Honolulu. Essaouira is a town with a great atmosphere. It is right next to the coast, a walled city that looks unchanged ...
Essaouira, Morocco sabaidii... of breed and olives (black standard and flavoured); with a serve of Moroccan Mint-tea. The total cost was 125dh, or less than 12 euro (24 australian); and we were both so full!To walk off dinner we decided to head for the beach at night. We learnt the beach is fully lit; it appears it has been designed to accommodate night swimming in the summer months. Tomorrow we plan to explore the Medina in more detail. The cost of food at restaurants is low, and the markets are ...
Essaouira, Morocco pgdavis... screaming on the way back down this morning as i have no tread in my boots and kept sliding around. we left the gite 2 hours ahead of schedule as it was too dodgy to do the trek and arrived in lovely essa early instead, much warmer and lots of shopping to be done.
