    Since we departed the Riviera, I've been a little busy driving and so I skipped a blog yesterday. Sunday morning we bade farewell to Marg and Boris as they headed to Italy and we started our slow journey to Paris.     ... du lauteret (2000m) followed by the galibier. The tour will take part of the route we rode and campervans were flowing into the best vantage points in significant numbers ( 2 days before stage starting). The day ended with dinner in Bourg D'Oisans next to a river with trout followed by Rob singing Highway to Hell with the local camp band and Rob and Tony being chatted up by an tipsy older Belgium ...

    ... we would have to wait a further 45 minutes. We slipped into Bourg du Oisans for a coffee and croissant. Then rolled back to the bus. The drive was amazing up to the lauturet.     Dinner tonight was at "Au Puit des Saveurs". We ate here last year with Phil and Louise and had a good time so when you are on a good thing...stick to it....as the Mortien fly spray man would say!

    The grub tonight was exceptionally good, beautifully presented and some great flavours there....how about a drizzle ...

    Today we had another climb planned up to Village Notre Dame which is on the opposite side of the valley from alpe d'heuz. The ride up to the Notre dame is just as impressive as the cliff cut road that we rode on from the back of the Sereene Climb. The views were spectacular and the feeling of exposure was real.
