... was light, fresh and bubbly.

The waitress took our order. We had decided to keep it simple with just a main and dessert each, which appeared to make the waitress a bit sad. We were pleasantly surprised when a complimentary "teaser" of fennel and grape foam was set down for us to taste. It was just a few teaspoons in coffee cup but full of flavour and really woke up our sleepy taste buds.

A really quick update to get us caught up in time. The day after the big climb day was a "rest" day. So we only rode 36 miles and two 'little' climbs: Lauteret and Lechelle. Mat found a rock climbing wall which he was pretty happy ...

We left our beloved botchy field, filled up with petrol and drove around the corner to Allemont. We hunted again for gas, or some way to make it work, but no luck. Again. Not very happy! Not only with the gas, but also troubles with the fridge and 12V powerpoints. Baguette for lunch, set up the van with electricity and went for a walk. Cold and rainy this afternoon, but still able to wander through the town of Allemont. A nice quiet rest day ...

... so we could do the down hill tracks. Was heaps of fun! We went on three different lifts, the last one up to 2600m. By the end of the day we were both pooped. We went back down the mountain, got some dinner and we back to our trusty botchy camp site ...
