Continued to head south of Madrid to Spain's Mediterranean coast to visit a desert area where many of Hollywood’s classic westerns were made in the old days. We were told it was an area worth visiting by a couple of Germans we bumped into. By Australian standards pretty ordinary, but for Europeans something quite different.

We followed the coast in a north east direction towards France for a while but quickly lost interest. This is not to say that there ...

After leaving the Piedmont region of Italy, and before heading back to Geneva for the airport, we made a quick two-day stop in the beautiful French alpine town of Chamonix. We spent an hour or so at the very top and took in the ...

... br> many people did (and did). It wasn’t quite like that tonight being summer, but I
reckon there were more well groomed women parading past me than I’ve seen
anywhere outside of Paris or New York. Many of them were simply out walking
their dogs. Wow; I wonder how they dress when they go out somewhere serious. I stayed
for dinner and it made for a very pleasant people watching evening.

... amazing. There is also a tunnel that runs through the mountain and has you coming out the other side in Italy. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain scenery and took in the crisp mountain air. We were getting spoiled. It was surreal taking day trips to these amazing little European towns. Then driving back to the ...
