    ... an eruption around 1650-1500BC. Some beautiful artwork was discovered unharmed, as well as about 30 buildings, some pottery, and some furniture (mostly moulds made by the lava, when the wood was destroyed). There are no human remains in these ruins, because the people knew the volcano was going to erupt, and they left.

    ... the town of Oia (pronounced ee-a) after taking a tender to the island from the ship. Tracy, thank you again for the tip about Sea Bands - they really helped Elizabeth today.
