... and a free lemon yogurt dessert, most likely to up their tripadvisor reviews. All the food feels healthy and light and close to paleo if you stay out of the bread basket.

Travel tip: learning the Greek Alphabet - it's worth spending an hour learning / practicing if you are going to be in Greece for any time over a day. It makes finding things (restaurants, etc) easier, plus it provides some satisfaction to be able to read a non-Roman language. Yiamas!

We got to the hotel, the charming Villa Ilias, before noon and by early afternoon were on our way on the 10 km pedestrian path to Oia at the north end of Santorini. ... flight to Santorini was only 30 minutes so we arrived with plenty of daylight. We settled into our small apartment on the caldera in Oia, just in time to make a mad dash to see the sunset. Our innkeeper left us a bottle of Santorini white wine and fruit in our apartment. Santorini is known for the magnificent sunsets, which cast bewitching light on the white and blue buildings. Close to sunset people start running for that part of the island ...

... balcony for the sunset. With live music and the sun beginning to set, it was a beautiful spot and great ambiance.

When we looked at the menu there were so many choices. In the end, Jen declared – why choose 3 or 5 wine tastings when you can get all 18 with no effort!?! You don’t want to miss the best wine by accident right? 8 or 10 wines in (who’s counting), the group next to us started dancing ...
