... down on the lagoon.

We caught the 11.30 am bus to Oia in the north of the island and looked around the stunning alleys at views of white houses, blue domed churches, sparkling swimming pools and cliffs dropping down to the shimmering ocean below.

There is a cliff top walk that climbs up on to ridges, then skirts around and over hills and into saddles and up to more ridges and onto more cliff tops for about 12 Kms from Oia to Fira where ...

Unfortunately we don't get long in ...

Every inch of Greece that we visited (but Athens, the donkey poo ridden path from the city of Santorini down to the port and the bathroom at Big Mama's cafe) can only be described as... beautiful! I am not talking your regular beautiful either by the way. I am talking jaw dropping, mind blowing stunningly beautiful. From the white washed walls and blue roofed houses, to the turquoise waters, sunsets and milk chocolate fit looking locals. Add a ...

... while we watched the sunset. It was absolutely breathtaking!

The island is very small so we decided to rent an ATV to cruise around the island. We zipped around from end to end on the ATV. It was lots of fun to explore the little villages, however there are very few guardrails so it was nerve wracking to ride around some of the hairpin turns! Matt was so patient to put up with me as I was ...
