June 3-6: We crowded onto the ferry in a swarm at Heraklion, left our suitcases on the lower deck and climbed upstairs to our assigned seats. Two hours later we arrived at Santorini (a.k.a. Thira or Thera).

... up outside the hotel, we were greeted, given a glass of wine and informed our room had been upgraded and included a private pool! It was about 2 pm when we arrived and a bit cloudy. We ventured out into the main strip to see a bit of the sunset and had so many restaurants to pick from. Ampelos was recommended and it overlooked the caldera. Was beautiful and enjoyed some sagnaki!
