... I guess you could compare it to Philidelphia, but with a much nicer texture - and likely to be more healthly! The goats cheese on the other hand was quite special, soft centered goats cheese with the expected flavour and texture!

It was very hot and we enjoyed a shaded picnic on a canope along the river below Pont Du Gard on the right bank. The aquaduct was very special as it has 3 levels and carried water in Roman days to cities of Nimes, Orange etc.

Today we headed back to Nimes to try to see some of what we didn’t get a chance to last time. We started out with the Arena, which we were only able to see from the outside on Sunday, due to the Tour de France. Up for leisurely breakfast then off to Avignon. GPS on but more wary of her and a few times disregarded what she said and we were ok. Got to Avignon and again the main headache is finding a parking place. Saw a parking building so went in. The ramps to go up were so narrow sometimes we had to have a couple of goes to get car in right position to fit. No parks till the 6 th floor.!!! We have a Holden opal wagon.....we ...
