... This was exciting enough.....but nothing compared to what lay in store for us. As we got closer so the black specks became bigger and bigger until eventually we were surrounded. Beautiful black and white (and frikken huge) Humpback whales glided through the water, breaking the surface with their massive backs followed by their fluted tails before diving down into the deep. They were swimming under our boat....there’s something breathtaking about seeing a full grown Humpback coming ...

... as a side note - most guys there - especially in Provincetown -  look like they are flexing their arms regularly - toned, fit, handsome, but! all you single gals out there - don't get too hopeful: these guys generally prefer equally toned, fit and handsome other guys...anyway, I digressed...back to the "flexed-arm-shaped-Cape-Cod"...

... playing for them this year. We found out that Brock's whole family was there- except his brother Max. It was fun to see Anthony say hi to Brock during warm up- then watch the game. It was somewhat muggy but nice. Anthony talked to Brock's brother Jake and we visited a bit with his parents as well. Firebirds won in the 12th inning. Fun game. We went back to the rv park for a good nights sleep as the next day we drive again.

Day 19. First thing this morning Anthony went for a 1/2 hour horse ride. As he was out on the ride we got all our things cleaned up, by the time he was back we were ready to go. Dnes sme sa vybrali na Cape Cod z Bostonu. V Bostone sme sa vyhli obrovskej zapche, ktora bola opacnym smerom a pokracovali sme na juh. Bohuzial dnes je oblacny a dazdivy drn, tak celu cestu ideme v dazdi. Nas ciel pre snesny den je Provincetown na konci Cape Cod. Ci viacej sme sa priblizovali ku Provincetowm tym bola cesta uzsia az podlednych 40km to bola len jednoprudova ...

... was enjoyed by all.  

After cake we strolled down to the dock to watch fireworks being shot off the other side of the lake. What can I say: another wonderful 4th of July on Cape Cod, where we've spent the fourth for some 13 of the last 17 years.

  

What a cool place. I finally got my National Park pass, and got to get some good beach time in. The Cape is beautiful. The dunes and trees make for a gorgeous setting. Providence town is such a cute town. Unfortunately the weather didn't hold out very long and a big storm ...

We then greased our stomaches a bit with a light lunch at the "Beachcomber" restaurant which used to be the sea guards house in the old times and now has up to 30 minute waits to sit down (especially on a Labor Day weekend).
