... photos from the back of a moving motorcycle that I have ever seen.
Even with our increased riding momentum, we had time to take advantage of the beauty and excitement of some of the Blue Ridge Parkway’s ‘twisties’ that awaited us.

... and their family in Radford were had a feast of good ole southern down home cooking. After dinner we headed back up to Salem and stopped by our old water hole, Mac and Bobs to join the party!
On our way out of Town on Sunday we made sure to stop by Alligator Alley, a favorite store of ours, for my husband to pick up a new Lacoste shirt.
We were in no rush to get to Salem, Va and since we had missed Skyline the day before, we spontaneously decided to exit of I-81 in order to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway down to Roanoke. We made a stop along the way at a trail near Lynchburg. The 1.6 mile loop trail takes you to a beautiful waterfall where we stopped for a picnic lunch. It was such a gorgeous day - the weather was perfect - and this was just a really nice relaxing drive!
... I say it was sweltering? Since we had also read about this place, we decided to find it and try it out.

Moneta, Virginia, United States smcclintock... lakehouse is at about 9:30pm. One of the towns that we loved driving through the most was Lexington, KY - so lush and green right now and tons of thoroughbred farms! My parents were already here visiting for the weekend (my dad's sister and brother-in-law and his best friend from childhood coming for the weekend) so they were there to greet us and unpack everything.
Moneta, Virginia, United States smcclintock... TP for an RV?) and sent us on our way. We spent the night at our lakehouse in Moneta, VA and went out with our lake friends for dinner and drinks. Everyone was sorry to hear about my job, but excited for us about our trip and I think if we asked them, a few would've packed their bags and come with. Tonmorrow - we head to TN!
Moneta, Virginia, United States smcclintock... that it's a show that makes fun of NZer;s in a good way* Me: I think you missed the point of the show Him: Huh? Me: nevermind Him: Heard of George Bush? Me: No, Who is he? Him.... well you get the picture. Exciting stuff. He was so drunk he got off the bus well before his stop and may well have ended up sleeping in the gutter that night. We did have intentions of watching a movie before bed, but both Steve and I were sound asleep not so long past the opening credits.
Blacksburg, Virginia, United States akeakekiakahaAfter the Redwood Forest we headed to San Fransisco on July 4th. We only stayed for the morning and long enough for Bosco to meet a girlfriend at the dog park! After that we headed to Yosemite Nat'l Park where we stayed the night of the 4th and enjoyed our first fireworks free Independance Day which was actually really nice! Then we headed into Sequoia Nat'l Park where we saw the largest tree in the World, The General Sherman.
