    ... and doors with white columns at the front entry door in the classic colonial style - gorgeous sitting on broad green lawns. There are no fences to separate properties, so everything is in a very pretty setting.

    ... I came to a big road that led to what had been my goal for the past few days: the Homeplace, an all-you-can-eat family-style restaurant famous on the trail.
