... desert until we reach Las Vegas. After a long drive, we discovered our RV park was right next door to a big casino. Not really a shock, but fairly convenient. We showered, got into our Sunday best (which hasn’t had much of an excuse to come out for a while) and took the three minute walk through the car park to the Sam’s Town Casino. We had a couple of beers and watched the baseball, before we discovered a very dangerous ...

Left SD about 10:15 am after seeing off Karen. A little cool on departure was thinking of wearing a jacket but figured once I hit the desert and got away from the marine layer the temperature would be on the rise. Started out at 71 and sure enough didn't take long to get to the mid 90's then once I hit the Mojave desert I was into the more familiar 105 degrees. Top heat was 108 but the average was more like 103. As I hit the incline south of Vegas the summit was at ...

... was reliving his childhood, playing with Lego. The only downside was we weren't allowed to take any photo’s during the night, but at least that meant we could concentrate on the show completely. After the show we continued on through a few more casino’s as far as Luxor, mainly to look at the beam of light shining (supposedly) into space from the top of the pyramid. Feeling exhausted from a long day we caught the shuttle back after a few more failed attempts ...
