... a deep sense of family and faith - everywhere you'll see offerings laid in the ground in honor of their deity(s). I suspect that outside of this, life isn't the easiest for them, economically, but everyone here seems incredibly happy and friendly, regardless. It's a much simpler life. Tomorrow I head to Ubud, the cultural an artistic center of Bali. I'm also hoping to plan an excursion into the ...

... like Starbucks, Tony Roma's, Oakley, etc. Having said that, we still are enjoying a country and setting which is different from North America, Australia, and New Zealand.

There were a number of officials in the road taking charge of regulating the parking of the tourist taxis. ... Semiyak and our hotel was in the thick of it between Legian and Kuta, 30mins passed and we didnt seem any closer but we perservered until the tide got so strong that it was washing the rubbish from the beach up onto us and then pushing us against the break wall. It was at that stage we decided the safest thing was to continue our walk on the road. We came up to find ourselves only outside Ku Te Da so we gave up our walking and cabbed it back to the hotel. It was nice while it lasted.
