Hey Everyone! Hope your all well! Im awesome- its been quite the few days! So after a 24 hour travel time flying to Tokyo and then over to Thailand I arrived at 1 in the morning in Bangkok. I stayed at our family friends house who lives in downtown Bangkok at Soi 8. For any of you who haven't been to Thailand driving here is insane. The highway was 2 lanes...technically...but a third was created for all the insane people( including my driver) to drive down the middle of the 2 lanes ...

January 3 - After a day of rest and figuring out what we wanted to see, we had a plan and started to execute this morning. We had read in the Lonely Planet guide that we could walk to Goa Gajah and the Elephant Cave from downtown Ubud, so we went to the tourist office to get a map and they confirmed that, yes, there was a way to do it, so we headed off, map in hand, excited about the day ahead.
