After an overnight stop in Singapore we flew to Bali, in Indonesia, which took 3 hours. We were recommended Bali by a few other travellers we met along our trip. When it was time to pay, I was told the DVDs were 10,000 each and not 6,000. The signage wasn't completely clear, but that was my fault ...

... barman does a live refit of the projector screen so that the band can watch the football. It is very entertaining as the band don't drop a note and the refitter is leaping from stools to stages to the bar and back again Football turns out to be Indonesia vs Malaysia and its just gone to penalty shootout territory Indonesia save the first two penalties and score both goals, to many whoops and cheers from both the staff and the band. After that it's a bit of a ...

When I was really sick with the Salmonella Event, Ibu Gusti, who was in charge at Loka Sari Hoemstay came each morning with a specially cooked bowl of BoorBoor ( a rice porridge) that was so good for my poor stomach. She never charged for it and came several times in the day to see if I needed anything.
