... of stars, all with gleaming teeth and perfectly manicured features, spread all around the walls of the room. The sceptic in me, did wonder whether all of these autographs were authentic or perhaps the pictures were purchased at some Los Angeles car boot sale. This was entirely unfair as the tiny bar was brimming with atmosphere and, most significantly, far warmer than the rest of hotel. Always freezing in the mornings and Shimla is no different, still i opened the windows and looked out onto the valley as it fell away before me as did Shimla itself and breathed in the heavy pine forested scent in the air.
Reading the Rough Guide the must see places are Jakku Temple, the State Museum and the Viceregal lodge. So i set out ...

We were originally planning to stay in Shimla for around a week but the weather conditions started to get us down and restricted us so much with activities that we decided to move on early. We did some research into the areas between Shimla and Delhi and a place called Chandigargh sounded nice with lots to do. We booked some trains and after 3 days in Shimla we headed off back down the mountain.
