Steve had discovered during his research of Nashville that there was a full size replica of he Greek Parthenon including a statue of Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom. Apparently a temporary structure of the Parthenon had been built in the 1890's for the World Fair held in Nashville. We landed in Nashville on 26 September at 5.55 pm and picked up by David, Lee and Henry (the perpetual eating machine - The Big H). On entering the living area there was a welcoming message and Lee had cooked avgolemono soup for us. How good it was to have a home cooked meal after nearly 2 weeks of restaurant tucker - all very nice except for the Korean experience!!!! A few drinks and a chat and hit the sack by 10 ...

We left there to go on the Grayline Hop On, Hop Off tour of downtown Nashville. We took some time to go through a full-scale replica of the Parthenon that Nashville built in celebration of the State's 1897 centennial celebration. What an amazing structure. Inside they've created an art museum and have some amazing recreations ...
