... Gligor's uncle for dinner. The carp fed 40, was baked with wine, onions, herbs & prunes. It was rich & delicious. Live musicians played & there was lots of singing & dancing. We sat out in the garden at a long table & it was a glorious evening.
Our final day in Ohrid dawned fine & hot- 33C at 12.15. Some of the group swam before lunch - the lake water was surprisingly warm. A shop makes handmade paper from juniper ...

He told us quite a bit about the lake because he had worked as a biologist doing measurements or experiments. The lake is extremely unusual in that it is only one of 2 in ...

... a 7-hr lunch that can only be described as INCREDIBLE! The local food, company, wine, atmosphere and location all made it a very special day with NEW friends.

We were in no state to drive, so we stayed in the B&B above the hotel in a very smart room dating back 100-years! This cost a mere €30 for both Luci and I, including breakfast... All is well that ends well!

Heading around the lakes tomorrow and into ...
