Gruss
Ralf
Bitola, Macedonia schwateHallo zusammen,

Gruss
Ralf
Ohrid, Macedonia schwateHallo zusammen,

Ohrid, Macedonia schwate... the cobblestone roads to the fortress are great. The pace is slow and relaxing. There is a great path that winds in and out of the beaches on its way to a great old church. The old man giving us a tour is delighted that we are so interested and offers us Raiki (a local brandy).

After some rain, a beautiful rainbow appears.
Ohrid, Ohrid, Macedonia will.traveller... boat with the very friendly Todor Angelovski telling us more about the history of the area and taking lots of "perfect" pictures of Efren and Craig.

Around 3pm we arrived back in Ohrid. We grabbed some more food and then headed back up to St Jovan church to catch the vivid sunset.

We have really enjoyed our time in Ohrid, and are sad to be leaving tomorrow. But we are excited to experience our next destination -- Bitola, Macedonia!

Ohrid, Macedonia bogna... choose Man #1. His real name is Sashko, not Man #1. "Ah, short for Alexander", I say, showing off my knowledge of European names. "Are you named after Alexander the Great?" "Actually, I am just Sashko, or Sasha." So that I don't feel bad he adds, "but you are correct that Sasha can be Alexander." Sashko usually lives in the US but comes back to Macedonia for July and August to hustle for his family's Pension ...
Ohrid, Macedonia jambo... you must be horrified to learn that I broke ancient pottery. Seriously though, there is enough of it around. All that stuff breaks eventually anyways. Actually, the pottery was not ancient by anymeans and nearly completely smashed anyway. A closer examination of it, before we picked up cannonballs, showed that it was factory manufactured within the last few years and already deliberately smashed by someone else. Sorry for the let down. I just wanted to say something inflamatory.
