... not too shabby mind you, while the remainder of the house was left with only the bare structures complete.  This house has never been completed.  Rosalie was built close to the river with wonderful views from the front "porch". ... to look for a late lunch. Vicksburg wasn't the quaint historic town we expected, and nearly everything was closed. We finally found a bar / restaurant set up in an old biscuit factory. It was good, with a sweet but ditsy waitress.

Not long after leaving the restaurant, I got suddenly sick as we were getting petrol. Think the milk for my coffee at lunch was off. Spent the rest of the night in the motel room.

... the timed portion of the race, a long train came across the tracks, holding up alot of the racers, they had so many time delay sheets that they decided to throw out the last leg. But they didn't tell the teams...so they all raced down the road, going 60 mph trying to make up the difference of time. They had fun, but it didn't count. so that effort was wasted.
