... the history and displays the artefacts.

After we drove the loop we continued south to New Orleans.

We joined back up to the Natchez trail and as the fog closed in it made for an eerie drive on the narrow road. We were lucky enough to see an armadillo on the side of the road(Wade claims he has whiplash from this as I slammed on the breaks as he never saw it and reversed back down the road) and a few deer. I was also lucky enough to have ...

We left later than planned to Clarksdale to take a picture at the legendary crossroad of the highways 61 and 49 and we also had a coffee sitting outside enjoying the sun. They even tried to dig a trench to the wall of the fort and detonated gunpowder there. That blew a hole in the first wall, but a second wall held firm. Meanwhile, the big tail of the union army swung around to the north and tried to find a way in along the entire defensive line. They failed. As I drove along the battlefield it's easy to see why ...

The Blues Highway to Memphis

... fries with their chicken. Everything served on the same ol' styrofoam as everywhere we eat and the cutlery as plastic as plastic goes. And then we tugged in. Spoon for the sides and fingers for the meat. Huge container with paper napkins as the centre piece on the table. No style no table manners really but we enjoyed the experience. Patrick gave the food 10/10 and the others not much less but I found the batter with its salt and chicken flavouring too ...
