... we were going to spend a night on the hook. Now as much as we were excited about the prospect of anchoring all by ourselves for the very first time on our journey, we were nervous because of the damage to the boat and the ever increasing size of the leak. A total rainout day today. Optimistically, we drove to Amelia Island, Florida and Fernandina Beach. I am sure on a sunny day, it would be spectacular. We walked around the quaint town, did some driving sightseeing and had lunch at the beach. It pretty much rained all day, but at least it wasn't cold or windy.
