My favourite animals were the elephant nosed shrew, the black and white animal, the prairie dogs and the monkey that had an old man face. The baby orang-utan was also very cute. Some of the ways the animals were displayed was awesome. You would walk along paths and the animals were right there in what looked like natural habitat. Often there were no bars. Frustratingly there were ...

People enter the plane according to a letter and number, allocated according to when checked in. Fortunately we checked in online early so we got on board early, so could sit together. Both flights were relatively uneventful, other than the air host forgetting to give me my ordered Coke on the flight to Chicago and there being no ...

While in Iowa, why not visit the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library we said to ourselves and we're glad we did. This is my fifth presidential library and I always enjoy learning about these men. President Hoover lead a pretty impressive life before he entered politics. This library complex includes his ancestral home...a 2 room simple home for 5 people...a Quaker meetinghouse, a one room schoolhouse and his burial site. The library itself is pretty large and includes ...

... enough it is. I wrote it down on a stolen napkin and the taxi driver looks at it from time to time. His name is Javier Pardo and he's friendly and chatty. I think all the drivers who go to the airport are. He tells us that we should call him if we need a taxi and I write down his phone number. I figure he could take us to the airport when we leave. He asks us why we chose that hotel, how much is it because he knows a better place. We tell ...

The next morning we got up early and headed out to the Strategic Air & Space Museum. We spent a few hours exploring everything and Dad was having a blast looking at all of the aircrafts that have been used and the history behind them. He’s always been a huge history guy, its fun going with him because he sees something and knows a story behind it, its amazing how much he knows about ...
