Blog week 5 In ons vorige blog schreven we dat we in rockhampton hadden overnacht in onze luxe vierpersoonskamer voor ons alleen. Woke up at 6 sweating! It is too got to sleep, the bunk beds squeak every time you move! It's horrendous! Got up at 8 to get dressed quickly and go and get our free breakfast ready for our jeep hire who was picking us up at 9.15! Glad to be out of this hostel for the day!! ... meter uit op het uitkijk punt. Prachtige views maar wel erg fris. Onder aan de klim was het 21 graden en boven nog maar 13. We hadden gelukkig een jas bij ons.Koffie en gebak in het Rainforrest café volgde.

In de middag begonnen met de voorbereiding voor de verhuis dag van morgen. Net lekker mexicaans gegeten.

Next stop was back in Charters Towers for some shopping and a nice lunch. Headed north on the road to Greenvale (Scoey wanted to have a beer in the Three Rivers Hotel - another Slim Dusty song). ... Island offshore. We drove down the Strand which is on the foreshore there is lots of accommodation, restaurants, playgrounds and pools. One pool draws water from the ocean at an area called Kissing Point. Next we drove up Castle Hill a pink granite monolith 286m high to view Magnetic Island and the Townsville ...
