We're officially on our tour of the East coast! We left Cairns on Thursday early morning and arrived in Mission Beach mid morning. Today was moving day and we headed up north of Townsville to a tiny place called Rollingstone. It is probably one of the prettiest parks we have stayed in, very isolated with an absolute beachfront setting. The journey was all savannah plains and mountains in the distance, only interrupted by the "big mango"!!

I hadn't expected much from 'Maggie'. I was just going to spend a couple of days on the beach, relaxing and working on my tan ( which isn't really there, yet). There are so many great things about travelling alone, but dare I say it, there are still times where you get lonely. ... to kangaroos too, I'd not expected them to be so little in comparison but it was really sweet. I decided to walk back from seeing the wallabies and do one of the walking tracks enroute to the hostel that went to the forts. Some structures that still existed after WW2 and then there were numerous lookout points along the way.
