After that I went for a swim. God it felt great to get into warm water. I haven't ever felt anything quiet like it. Waves were small but still packed a punch. Hopefully we will see some better surf along the coast over the next week.

We will be off to see Christ the redeemer this evening during sunset. Hopefully we will get some good views.

... incredibly well organised and efficient with stewards everywhere. We also tried to get a beer before the match but couldn't as all the bars have been banned from selling it. There were whole families at the match and it all felt very safe. The match itself was not massively well attended. Attendance was around 15k but the capacity is in fact 80k. After trying Ana's pancakes with meat sauce (similar to caneloni) which were very delicious, I went down the road to find a bank and a bar. No bank, plenty of bars! My first caipirinia in Rio, it is delicious!! And there is a live band playing nice music, not too wild. Nice bar on the corner, very friendly people again. All of a sudden a group of people came in playing music and doing some type of theater, no idea ...
