Went through pag island today. Only island have ever seen which is basically rocks hardly ant vegetation. Is approx 40k long. Very harsh land but interesting. Then up what felt like 3ks in the air on a twisting road, my toes clutching the floor of the car on every inch. On our way to national park plitvice lakes tomorrow. Tonight suppose to be 3degrees so mountain country as eating dinner tonight with dead bears and dead eagle. ...

... heel dicht bij de kant. Hoe, geen idee, maar t anker was weg en de boot lag vast. Van alles geprobeerd, maar niet los te krijgen. Weer hulp moeten vragen om m los te trekken. ... of brandy drinking too with Goran. On our final night in the apartment Goran brings another bottle of brandy for a farewell drink, at 4pm in the afternoon! During the course of this encounter he has a lively 10 minute phone conversation with our next prospective host after very kindly offering to ensure our internet booking was confirmed, we had a very agreeable evening and went to bed at about 1.30am!!!

... Islands / Hvar / Pag... I know many people (and have since my own visit to Split have met others) who LOVED Split. To me, it felt crowded and cheap compared to the incomparable beauty of Dubrovnik experienced just days earlier. Nearly anyone I've met who has had any type of experience with Croatia has included some type of island experience. They all loved it.
