      ... and tonight a bat hanging from the AC vent. Something that I didn't mention about our stop at Monaco. Shortly after leaving Monte Carlo the ship stopped so that a crew member could be taken back to shore for medical treatment. We found out today that he went a shore for observation which was fortunate as he subsequently had an appendicitis.       I have not been in Athens but the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento must be quite close if not better. You can easily spend half a day in the place although we had to rush as the weather was not nice. In fact it was the nicest weather we were going to have all day. Today we didn't drive; we sailed with our car to Palermo across muddy waters in the middle of a tropical storm.

      ... to what was apparently a free local clinic, somewhere in the back blocks of Apra. The doc took one look at Bronte's eye, said she needed to see a specialist, and asked for the next patient.
