    ... to the cathedral in town, then onto a food market & then the Baroque church of Immacolata. Like Ciro said is starting to feel like an ABC tour (another bloody church). Had some pizza for lunch, back to the hotel for a siesta 31, walked up town looked at the opera, went into the basilica again, walked some back street alleys & back to the main street. On Sundays the main street is shut to vehicles which allows the people to walk freely up the street ...

    ... rescue mission, particularly rescuing wolves. Both are obviously very skilled with animals, and for many years, he managed all the animals used in EuroDisney world. She was a stuntwoman for many films, driving strings of horses attached to wagons. He now delivers and sets up scenery for major shows, operas and musicals in Europe and she is a biologist with an aquarium. Multiple linguist too! We have been invited to visit and stay on their farm in France.

    ... They then took me through the business class check in and through to the waiting room and then onto the plane, very efficient. Small plane that took us to Rome.

    Not very comfortable but we were soon there and picked up in another wheelchair, we were then parked in a waiting area with several other people. Nothing seemed to be happening so I said to Neil go and find the Singapore Airline check ...

    ... Neil went to tell Gilberto and contacted Helen so we could say our goodbyes to her.

    Had a shower and had a leisurely casual dinner on the patio overlooking the yacht harbour. Lovely evening. Food not that great, Neil had a caprese salad and I had a beefburger, neither that good, but the view and ambience was lovely. Had a bottle of wine for our final evening. And so to bed as we have to be up and about at 4.30 am in the morning.

    ... Imagine driving downtown in any large city in the world at peak hour. Now imagine that the number of lanes changes frequently and that there are no traffic lights at many intersections and you get an idea of what driving in Sicily is like. Strangely enough, it all works. There also appears to be minimal, if any, road rage. In fact, you could always easily merge and other drivers were most courteous in the mayhem.
