... by the time we got to Chamonix at 4:45pm; Bill's left knee was very sore Karin stayed in town all day & was feeling better; She later out on a large square bench in a park. We stopped off before we went into the tunnel to take some more photos and a drink. No Queues so we went straight in, they are very strict on speed and no over taking.

... for the photo taking opportunity. I met more people on Mont Blanc then anywhere else in France. Great fun. The taxi driver speaks ten words of English but enough to ask me where I am from --- "USA" is always my response just so that I can see the expression on their face change when I say "Texas" and predictably he breaks out in a wide toothy grin and at the next light he does a little pistol shootout in the air while making the "pishshew," "pishshew," "pishshew" sound effects.
