    ... lovely walk round the lake with my neighbour only to find I couldn't unlock the door. Luckily I could open the cab door and climb in that way but try as I might the door to the habitation area remained firmly locked.     We were ready to set off by 9am today. Unfortunately, my wish for no pain when I first got on the bike today was unfulfilled. Yes, it was a bit unrealistic, but surely I can hope? Perhaps tomorrow. It's forecast to be 37degrees today and we have a big day of riding planned today. Initially we were doing close to 60kms and that included a short ferry ride.     ... fresh which will be lovely as its meant to be quite warm later today. Apparently it's unseasonably warm here in Brittany this year, and in particular, this week so we're told to expect temperatures of 30-31 degrees.     ... br> It was a major submarine base during WW2 built by the Germans, in the an enormous and imposing concrete bunker.



    Opposite the bunker was a fairly new cinema - so that worked out well....

    ... its bay are part of the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. It was amazing on the outside, very simple but beautiful on the inside. After our visit, we headed to Rennes and caught a train to Paris. (There is a much more stressful truth to this part involving more bad decisions on a travel day, poor French signage, and long lines at Europcar but I'll omit it here...
