We left Rijeka in the rain, the plan was to walk around the city this morning and have a look, however the rain deterred us so we packed the car and headed off. ... was some sort of festival in the old town and the local Croats performing were really talented. We stayed and listened to a bunch of songs before getting some great gelato and heading back for the night. Our first day in Croatia was a success!

Today we began our day by wandering around the old town a bit more. We walked up to the large church at the top and centre of the old town and were shown some beautiful views below. Ren and I waited while ...

... hands and told us that we had saved his life and his daughter's. We were all grateful that the little girl was reunited with her father and was safe again. He explained that he had turned his back on her for one second and then she was gone.

When the three of us walked back to Portoroz, we couldn't believe how no one else walking the same street as us tonight seemed to notice the little girl running up and down the side ...
